Grab an Oar!

Since the nineteenth century, the arrival of warm weather brings New Yorkers and visitors alike out of hibernation and onto The Lake in Central Park. From April through October, you can enter from 72nd Street and head towards the center of the park to the Loeb Boathouse to rent a rowboat for $15 for the first hour and $4.00 for each additional 15 minutes. Bring cash as they don’t accept credit cards, a little extra too as you’re required to leave a $30 cash deposit. You’ll also want to bring your ID. Boats can be rented from 10:00am till 5:30pm and must be returned by 6:30pm.
